For our case, we will use Google’s DNS. Here are the steps you need to follow:
Open the Network settings which you are attempting to connect and choose on DNS Settings. This will be automatic, but in our case, we need to enter it manually.
You should then enter the details of DNS below:

Primary DNS-Server: 126.96.36.199
Secondary DNS-Server: 188.8.131.52
Save and exit the changes made. Try reconnecting to the network and check if the issue is settled.
Solution 5: Try Using Guest Wi-Fi
After trying all the four above solutions and the issue persists, you may try using the Guest Wi-Fi. Please note that this will only work if you are using the FIOS Quantum Gateway router. Many old routers may not support this.
Guest Wi-Fi is your routers separate network access point for your guests as the name states. Here are the steps you need to follow:
- Open your routers URL using a web browser and enter your user name and password.
- Click on the Wireless Settings located at the top bar.
- Click Guest Wi-Fi Settings situated at the left pane of the window.
- Click on Guest Wi-Fi and then choose on Edit Settings of Guest Wi-Fi located at the right pane of the window.
- You should then enter the SSID and your password and click save. Enter the SSID and password for the guest Wi-Fi.
- Turn on the Guest Wi-Fi.
- Back in your Nintendo Switch, delete any saved information about previous network connections.
- Restart your Nintendo Switch.
- Connect the Switch with the Guest Wi-Fi and find out if the issue persists.
Solution 6: Fixing your Network
